Christian Schunk is the CTO and co-founder of Morpheus Space, a company specializing in electric propulsion and high voltage electronics for the aerospace industry. Prior to their work at Morpheus Space, Christian was a scientific researcher at the Technical University of Dresden, where they worked on the development, production, and testing of electric propulsion systems and high voltage electronics. Christian also served as the co-principle investigator and technical lead for the MetabolicSpace project, a technology demonstrator for manned spaceflight. In addition to their work in the aerospace industry, Christian has also worked as an intern at Premium AEROTEC, where they analyzed and designed the production process for the Airbus A350 XWB. Christian has also served as a student assistant at the Technical University of Dresden, working on the CubeSat SOMP2 project.
Christian Schunk attended the Technische Universität Dresden from 2009 to 2015, where they studied Mechatronik, Robotik und Automatisierungstechnik and earned the title of Diplom-Ingenieur. Prior to that, they attended Staatliche Berufsbildende Schule Sonneberg from 2005 to 2009, where they studied to become a Fachkraft für Mechatronik. Christian also attended Staatliche Berufsbildende Schule Sonneberg from 2004 to 2005, where they studied to become an Elektrotechnischer Assistent.
