Matthias Gänsslen

Matthias Gänsslen's work experience begins with their current role as the Executive Vice President of Sales and the Managing Director at Morrow Batteries, where they are responsible for the commercial and profitable growth of the battery/cell business. In this position, they build and leads a high-performing sales and business development organization, establishes strong customer networks, promotes new products and innovations, and explores new business opportunities.

Prior to joining Morrow Batteries, Gänsslen served as a Senior Key-Account-Manager xEV at Samsung SDI from 2019 to 2021. From 2011 to 2019, Gänsslen worked at Johnson Controls in various roles. Matthias began as a Senior Program Manager - Sales, where they led sales programs, and later served as a Customer Manager, responsible for key account management and business development. In their most recent role at Johnson Controls as the Senior Customer Manager Advanced Technologies, Gänsslen was accountable for the commercial aspects of advanced technology products in the EMEA region. Matthias led key account management, business development and acquisition, strategy-to-action initiatives, and customer relationship management.

Before joining Johnson Controls, Gänsslen worked as an Account Manager at TRW from 2007 to 2011, where they managed accounts and built relationships. Matthias also gained experience as a Key Account Manager at Safety Components International (now Global Safety Textiles) from 2001 to 2007.

Matthias Gänsslen holds a degree in Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering) from Fachhochschule Hannover. Matthias earned the degree of Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.Ing.) or Master in this field. In addition to their formal education, Matthias Gänsslen obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in December 2009 from PMI Frankfurt Chapter e.V.
