Dena Aponte-Smith

Dena Aponte-Smith is a Senior HR Specialist at Mortgage Bankers Association since July 2010. Dena previously worked at American Insurance Association as a Database and HR Coordinator for over a decade. Dena graduated from Howard University with a BBA in Business Management in 1992 and later obtained a Masters in Human Resources from University of Phoenix in 2009. At the Mortgage Bankers Association, Dena is responsible for project coordination, office management, recruitment, new hire paperwork processing, welfare plan administration, and serving as Chair on various committees. Dena also develops and coordinates staff morale-building activities, special events, and serves as the Systems Administrator for the HRIS.
