Kris Bachtell

Kris Bachtell is the vice president of collections and facilities at the Morton Arboretum. Kris has been with the organization for 34 years. In their role, they oversee the care of the arboretum's living collection and manages the grounds. Kris also oversees the arboretum's public safety team.

Bachtell has a bachelor's degree in horticulture from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in public administration from Northern Illinois University. Kris is a certified arborist and a member of the International Society of Arboriculture.
