Dr. Erik A. Thorson Ed.d

Dr. Erik A. Thorson Ed.D has extensive experience in the education industry. Dr. Erik A. currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer and Co-President of Benchmark Education and Thinkstretch Learning since July 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Administrative Officer at Mosaica Education, Inc. Their previous roles include serving as the Regional Vice President/Head of School at Accel Schools LLC from August 2015 to June 2019, where they were responsible for various charter schools in Ohio. Dr. Thorson was also a Co-Founder of Monroe Preparatory Academy, the first approved charter school in Sandusky, Ohio.

Dr. Erik A. Thorson Ed.D has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching, which they obtained from John Carroll University in 1999. Dr. Erik A. also holds a B.A in Communications from New England College. Furthermore, Dr. Thorson holds an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Education from Nova Southeastern University. In June 2018, they obtained an Ohio Superintendent License from the Ohio Department of Education.
