Mihai Tazlauanu has worked in the semiconductor industry for over 35 years. Mihai began their career in 1982 as a Team Leader at ICCE Baneasa, where they developed new failure analysis techniques, contactless test equipment, and applied reliability research for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. In 1993, they became a Research Assistant at LISA Lab. (Ecole Polytechnique). In 1996, they moved to Semiconductor Insights as a Senior Staff Engineer, where they conducted comprehensive in-depth structural analyses of advanced IC families. In 2001, they joined AMCC / Quake as a Senior Device Engineer / Senior Reliability Specialist. In 2008, they took on the role of PMTS at AMD. Most recently, in 2010, they became the VP of Engineering at Peraso Technologies, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company specializing in the development of single-chip mmwave transceivers.
Mihai Tazlauanu obtained a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Montreal, Ecole Politechnique between 1993 and 1997. Prior to this, they obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Science from the University Politehnica of Bucharest between 1989 and 1992.
