Ria Shah

Ria Shah has a diverse range of work experience. Ria started their career as a Business English Instructor at Vaughan Systems, where they developed course materials and taught Business English to professionals and entrepreneurs. Ria then worked as an Asistente Técnica at EGIS EYSER, S.A., translating Spanish documentation and providing linguistic assistance to the board of directors. Ria then joined RWS as a Project Manager, overseeing medical translation projects and managing a team. Ria later became the Quality Assurance Services Team Lead at RWS, where they coordinated staff, mentored and trained team members, and ensured quality checks were conducted in adherence to industry standards. Currently, Ria is working at Mother Tongue as the UK Client Director/Head of DE&I.

Ria Shah completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in European Studies with a focus on Spanish and Italian from the University of Bath, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, they also participated in a semester exchange program at Sapienza Università di Roma, where their studies covered Business/Managerial Economics and Spanish Literature.
