Matea Kosar

Matea Kosar, MSW, RSW, is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with extensive experience in mental health support, particularly focused on women's and LGBTQ+ adult issues, including perinatal/postpartum challenges. Currently serving at Mother's Mental Health since July 2020, Matea develops treatment plans and conducts individual therapy sessions. Previous roles include providing evidence-based therapy at MindBeacon, offering mental health counseling to youth at Lutherwood, and facilitating youth projects funded by UNICEF at the Youth Information Agency. Education includes a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Sarajevo, along with substantial research experience in trauma, child abuse, and discrimination.
