Director of Clinical Education & Training (MotionU) at Motion Composites

Alli Speight has a diverse work experience in the field of occupational therapy. Alli started their career as an Occupational Therapist at Therapacc in October 2010 and worked there until June 2012. In October 2011, they joined Kawartha Therapy Services as an Occupational Therapist and worked there until June 2016. Alli then moved on to Motion Composites, where they initially worked as a Clinical Education Specialist from April 2016 to January 2021. Later, they took on the role of Director of Clinical Education & Training for the company's MotionU division from January 2021 onwards.

Alli Speight has an extensive education history that spans several years. They began their education at Courtice Secondary School, where they obtained their Highschool Diploma in 2004. After completing high school, Alli went on to attend Dalhousie University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Kinesiology. Following their undergraduate studies, Alli pursued a Master's of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Western University from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Alli has also attained various certifications and training courses that enhance their professional skills and expertise. These include Assistive Technology Profession (ATP) certification from RESNA, obtained in January 2019, as well as Brain Basics Training from the Ontario Brain Injury Association and SafeTALK Training from the Canadian Mental Health Association, both completed in 2014. Alli has also received certifications such as Level 1 Moving and Handling Course from Prism Medical Ltd. in 2013 and ADP Authorization for Mobility Aids, Manual & Power Wheelchairs, Scooters & Positioning Devices from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in 2012. Other certifications obtained by Alli include Advanced Customized Training for Success: Beyond Driving, The Power of Mobility, Power Seat Function from Permobil, Cognitive Rehabilitation: Assessment and Intervention Strategies from Mindworks, Progressive Goal Attainment Program from the University Centre for Research on Pain and Disability, Setting up a Wheelchair for Efficient Propulsion from Sunrise Medical, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Training from AODA Online, and Standard First Aid & CPR 'C' from the Canadian Red Cross, all in 2012. Furthermore, Alli undertook the Wound Healing and Prevention Program, Level 1 at St. Michael's Hospital, although the specific completion year is unknown.
