Amir Darwesh

Amir Darwesh is a Senior Autonomy Engineer at Motional since July 2023, bringing extensive experience in software development and technical leadership within the autonomous vehicle sector. Previously, Amir served as a Software Technical Lead at Embark Trucks, focusing on production sensor drivers and human-machine interface projects while implementing Agile methodologies. Prior roles included software engineering positions where Amir contributed to the integration of next-generation compute hardware, developed OS build software, and conducted research on thermal camera systems. Academic experience includes a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, supplemented by participation in various autonomous systems research projects and internships in the field.
