Alex Wright

Alex Wright is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with extensive expertise in leading mechanical engineering projects across various companies in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley since May 2017, Alex has previously held key positions including Principal Mechanical Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler and Lead Mechanical Engineer at Petrofac. Notable projects include technical leadership in the Sullom Voe project for BP and various rotating equipment packages in the Solan Project for Premier Oil. Alex's career spans over 18 years, starting from a Senior Mechanical Engineer role with Bechtel, backed by a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Energy Systems from The University of Manchester.
