Tom Batman is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical and design management within the water treatment sector. Currently serving as Design Manager at Mott MacDonald Bentley since September 2014, Tom leads multidisciplinary design teams for significant projects, including the Thames Water framework and a new sludge treatment center for Anglian Water. Previously, Tom held roles such as Technical Manager and Design Lead, overseeing complex projects like the £28 million refurbishment of Hull WwTW’s anaerobic digestion process. Prior to Mott MacDonald Bentley, Tom worked as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer at Grontmij Group, where responsibilities included leading mechanical design at Penrith WwTW. Tom's career also includes a secondment with the Environment Agency, focusing on optimizing mechanical and electrical asset performance. Tom holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester.
