Bett Schumacher

Bett Schumacher is an experienced higher education administrator currently serving as the Chief of Staff and Secretary of the College at Mount Holyoke College since February 2022. Prior to this role, Bett Schumacher held the position of Chief of Staff/Secretary of the Board of Trustees at Amherst College from July 2017 to January 2022. Bett Schumacher's early career includes serving as Chief of Staff and Deputy to the President at the University of the Pacific from March 2010 to June 2017. Academically, Bett Schumacher earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the History of Art from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art History, Criticism and Conservation and Women's Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
