Assistant Professor And Head Athletic Trainer at Mount Vernon Nazarene University

Brian Humphrey, MS, AT, NREMT, currently serves as the Assistant Professor and Head Athletic Trainer at Mount Vernon Nazarene University since August 2006, overseeing student trainees and advising Exercise Studies majors. Responsibilities include managing 11 intercollegiate teams, collaborating with health services and community physicians for student-athlete care, and teaching various health and athletic training courses, including first aid and CPR through the American Red Cross. Previously, Brian held the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer at Kenyon College from 1997 to 2006, where involvement included rehabilitation coordination and supervising interns. Additionally, Brian has been an Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America since 2012. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University and a double Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine and Sports Management from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
