Jay Broccolo is an experienced meteorologist and geoscientist currently serving as the Director of Weather Operations at Mount Washington Observatory since January 2019. Previously, Jay held various roles, including Weather Observer and Meteorologist during an earlier tenure at the same observatory. Additional experience includes working as a Geotechnical Engineer Technician at Briggs Engineering & Testing, where responsibilities involved construction monitoring and material testing, and as a Geologist In Park Intern for the National Park Service, focusing on weather station maintenance and reporting. Jay's diverse background also features roles as a Field Specialist at Schlumberger, providing well data analysis, and working with special needs children as a PASS Worker at Seven Hills Organization. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Rhode Island, a Master of Research in Climate and Atmospheric Science from the University of Leeds, and ongoing doctoral studies at the University of Maine.
