Paul D. Flowers, Sr. serves as the Director of the Doctor of Ministry program at Virginia Union University since January 2020. As Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church since January 2009, Paul oversees the spiritual, emotional, and physical wellbeing of over 150 congregants, leads worship services, and collaborates with music leadership. Paul also co-founded Next Level Youth and Family Services, Inc. in January 2011, a non-profit organization aimed at supporting vulnerable youths and families in Virginia. Additionally, Paul founded Paul Flowers Ministries, which focuses on spiritual development through workshops and seminars. Educationally, Paul holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Virginia Commonwealth University.
