Missy Brooks, Ed.D has a diverse and extensive work experience in the education field. Missy began their career in 1991 as a Teacher, specializing in English and Science, in both Middle and High Schools. After 13 years in the classroom, they transitioned to become an Assistant Principal in High Schools from 2004 to 2011. During this time, they gained experience in school administration and leadership. In 2011, Missy joined Mountain Brook Schools as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing and evaluating the curriculum, instruction, and assessment processes for grades K-12. Missy also coordinated system-wide professional learning and supervised the Response to Intervention (RtI) program. Additionally, Missy has served as an Adjunct Professor at Samford University since 2012, where they have been sharing their knowledge and expertise in the field of education.
