Scott Winans

Scott Winans has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. In 1987, they began working as an Engineer for the Mechanical & Fluid Systems Development Group at General Dynamics, Space Systems Division, where they were involved in the Atlas and Centaur space vehicle programs. In 1997, they worked as an Engineer for the Guidance, Navigation & Controls Group at Hughes Aircraft Company. Scott also founded Edge Cycles Co. and worked as the Director of Research & Development at Estes-Cox Corp. in 1997. From 2006 to 2009, they were the Shop Owner at Rapid Creek Cycles, where they were part of the greater Grand Junction and Western Colorado biking scene. During this time, they also worked as a Consultant for various companies. Finally, from 2009 to present, they have been the VP of Engr at Mountain Racing Products and the President of CO Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Assoc., where they are involved in trail development and advocacy in Western Co.

Scott Winans attended the University of Arizona from 1982 to 1991, where they earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering.
