Efraín Chávez

Efrain Andres Guirola Diaz is an experienced healthcare professional and interpreter with a strong background in patient care and medical interpretation. Currently serving as a Patient Care Technician - Specialist at UPMC since 2020, Efrain has also held various roles including Patient Care Assistant, Spanish Healthcare Interpreter, and Healthcare Liaison, accumulating extensive hours in patient interaction and support. Efrain contributed to the care of underserved populations through interpretation and education, while also working as a Spanish interpreter for multiple organizations. With a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh, Efrain has a solid academic foundation complemented by research experience and teaching assistance.
