Nathan Lachapelle

Nathan LaChapelle has extensive experience in the mortgage industry, with a focus on underwriting and operations leadership. Nathan currently holds the position of VP/Community Ops Leader at Movement Mortgage, where they lead a team of over 50 underwriters and managers. Previously, Nathan worked as an AVP - Underwriting Manager for Movement Mortgage, overseeing a team of 30 underwriters. Before joining Movement Mortgage, Nathan was an Underwriting Manager at Sutherland, where they managed underwriting operations for a national bank client and developed efficiencies in the underwriting process. Nathan also spent time in India managing underwriting operations. Prior to their role at Sutherland, Nathan worked as a Service Delivery Ops Team Lead at Accenture, overseeing a team of 11 employees and consistently meeting monthly goals. Nathan also has experience in credit management and loss mitigation at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Nathan is highly skilled in underwriting complex loan packages and has a strong track record of meeting SLA metrics and delivering high-quality service to clients.

Nathan LaChapelle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance from Western Carolina University in the years 2000-2004. In 2009, they attended Heidelberg University, although no degree or field of study was specified. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UNC Charlotte.
