Matt Cawte

Matt Cawte is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience across various industries, including software solutions for the film industry, bioinformatics, chemicals, and technology. Currently serving as Group CFO at Vista Group since August 2019, Matt oversees financial strategies for software solutions in the global film sector. Previously, as CCO and CFO at Biomatters, Matt led growth initiatives in bioinformatics and successfully secured investment from a US investor. Matt's notable roles include CEO of Orica NZ, where strategic direction was set for the largest chemicals business in New Zealand, and CFO at Wellington Drive Technologies, focusing on energy-efficient electric motor development. Matt has also held significant finance-related positions at Lion Nathan, Air New Zealand, MEDIASOUP LTD, and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, demonstrating a strong background in financial management and strategy.
