Malcolm Schulstad has held a variety of roles in the past. Since 2019, they have been the Head of Operations at MOVUS, a Mountain Bike Coach at Balance MTB, and a Disability Specialist at SWARA. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Business Owner at MAJJAK, where they established a boutique wholesale candle and fragrance business specialising in delivering branded, custom products in low volumes. During this time, they developed and established sales of custom products of over 120,000 products to over 300 domestic and international businesses. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Operations Manager at A Team Tuition Pty Ltd, where they deployed a leadership team and supporting business structure of 20 staff to deliver sustainable business growth beyond the Gold Coast Region and into South East Queensland. Malcolm also implemented business strategies to increase client growth by 210% and raised gross revenues from $500K to $1.4M within 6 months. From 2012 to 2017, they were the General Manager Operations at TechLife Solutions, where they managed a group of 90 staff and 500 contractors, and established new business development programs leveraging existing business partners and the national subcontractor network to create a sales pipeline of $20M in opportunities. From 2001 to 2012, they were the Operations Manager, Field Operations & Supply Chain, National Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, and Networks & Technology Program Manager at AUSTAR Entertainment. During this time, they managed a team of 40 staff and outsourced warehousing and freight providers, and tendered and implemented new contracting partners delivering $200K in freight and $1M in warehouse and repair savings p/a. Malcolm also transitioned Level 2 Customer Technical Support from an outbound to inbound call center significantly improving customer service and satisfaction while reducing service credits and customer churn. Malcolm was also the Core Services Manager, where they managed seven staff and was responsible for the operations management of AUSTAR Internet Systems providing authentical and billing services to over 70,000 customers. Finally, from 1995 to 2001, they were the Project Manager and Manager Communications & Information Systems Operations Centre at the Royal Australian Air Force. During this time, they were responsible for the project management and delivery of special products for the RAAF’s Aviation Maintenance Systems replacement project, and managed a team of 32 staff to deliver information and communications capabilities for a military establishment.
Malcolm Schulstad completed a Bachelors in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology/Technician from UNSW Canberra between 1991 and 2004.
