Debra Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Debra began their career at Fernando Gavilan Primary School as an English Language and Cultural Instructor, where they taught English lessons and incorporated language learning activities for students across different subjects. Debra then moved on to Tipton-Rosemark Academy as a Spanish Program Coordinator and Instructor, collaborating with the school's administration to develop a comprehensive Spanish curriculum for students from preschool to eighth grade. Debra customized instruction methods to meet the needs of all students, including those with learning challenges and special needs.

In 2014, Debra took on an Epidemiology Internship at the Shelby County Health Department, where they conducted a comprehensive health assessment of the county's Hispanic/Latino population. Debra gathered and analyzed demographic, socioeconomic, and health data from various databases, contributing to the department's understanding of public health trends. Simultaneously, they served as a part-time Review Session Instructor in the School of Public Health at The University of Memphis. In this role, they conducted a descriptive epidemiological assessment of the same population, reviewing relevant literature and analyzing data to inform public health strategies.

Most recently, Debra worked at Mr. Christmas Inc. as a Sales Manager and Accounting Clerk. Debra played a pivotal role in facilitating a significant increase in sales, generating $2.9 million in revenue in 2019. Their responsibilities included analyzing sales data, developing sales forecasts, implementing sales strategies, monitoring supply and demand, and determining price schedules and discount rates.

Throughout their work experience, Debra has showcased their strong analytical and communication skills, as well as their ability to adapt to diverse environments and collaborate with different stakeholders.

Debra Johnson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Memphis School of Public Health in 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education and completed a Master's in Public Health with a specialization in Epidemiology at The University of Memphis in 2014.
