Sonia Orwa

Sonia Orwa has worked in various roles for several companies over the past 12 years. In 2020, they began working as the General Manager of Kenya for Mr. Green Trading Africa Kenya Ltd. and also took on the role of Chief People Officer, where they are responsible for the People and Culture element of the company. From 2016 to 2020, Orwa was the Co-Founder and Program Director of The MYne Project, a social movement that uses a unique approach of partnering with businesses to focus on three integral pillars. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Program Manager, CSR and Group Executive Assistant in-charge of the CSR portfolio at AAR Healthcare Holdings Ltd. where they managed a $270,000 annual budget for the implementation of AAR's Trees 4 Health Program. From 2011 to 2014, Orwa was the Program Officer/Executive Assistant at African Wildlife Foundation where they were responsible for developing a master calendar of pre-selection and selection activities and recommending policies. From 2009 to 2011, they were the Regional HR Assistant and Administrative Assistant at African Wildlife Foundation, where they provided administrative and logistical support for AWF-DC staff and supported HR Manager with labor relations across 11 different countries. In 2008, Orwa was the Membership Services Assistant at Utility Telecom Council, where they managed the company Netforum database and prepared and edited UTC publications.

Sonia Orwa attended Principia College from 2004 to 2008 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government, as well as a BA in Political Science and Sociology.
