Sally Balcombe CBE

Sally Balcombe CBE has a long and distinguished career in the travel industry. Sally began their career in 2001 as Managing Director of the Specialist Sun Division for TUI Travel PLC. In 2004, they became Commercial & Product Director for Opodo. In 2007, they were appointed Chief Marketing Officer for Travelport. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Board Level Consultant/Advisor for Avis Budget Group EMEA, Directline Holidays, Travel, and Consumer sectors. From 2013 to 2016, they served as CEO of VisitBritain and Board Member of VisitBritain and Visit England. Sally also held the role of Governor at the Museum of London from 2013 to 2016 and Commissioner at English Heritage from 2014 to 2016. In 2012, they became a Non-Executive Director for Mr & Mrs Smith.

Sally Balcombe CBE received their Bachelor of Education in Economic Geography from the University of Cambridge.
