Carlos Rosso has worked in the finance and banking industry for over 25 years. Carlos began their career in 1994 as an Economist at GBM Grupo Bursatil Mexicano, where they conducted macroeconomic research and sector research of specific industries to support the commercial bank credit group and credit committees. In 1996, they joined Goldman Sachs & Co. as an Associate Economist, where they created and published macro research content for Mexico and Emerging Market countries. Carlos also developed economic models and quantitative research tools to monitor and analyze economic time series data. In 2001, they moved to Dresdner Kleinwort as Vice President, where they originated and executed capital market transactions for clients in Brazil, Mexico and Central America. Carlos also launched an investment banking business in Mexico and executed several transactions, including the first hybrid capital transaction for a non-investment grade bank in LatAm, the first cross-border securitization of Mexican construction loans, and the first non-investment grade perpetual bond out of Mexico. In 2008, Carlos joined Nomura as Vice President, where they provided advisory on fixed income products including FX, FX derivatives, FX swaps, emerging markets bonds, US corporate bonds, US Treasury bonds and interest rate swaps to institutional investors. Carlos onboarded over 30 institutional accounts including banks, pension funds, insurance companies and broker dealers in LatAm and executed a Sovereign JPY150bn Samurai bond and a series of private placement transactions. In 2012, Carlos became Managing Director at TAG Latin America Partners, where they led a team that provided corporate finance advisory services in Latin America. Carlos structured tailored made financings for companies in the energy, infrastructure and financial sectors. Finally, in 2016, Carlos co-founded MR Presta Inc., a merchant financing platform in Latin America that uses big data/AI/ML to underwrite loans. Carlos analyzed 150,000+ merchants, processed over 20,000+ loan applications and funded over 15,000 financings (Merchant Cash Advances). Carlos also implemented a state of the art technology that accesses digital data to perform automated financial analysis based on cash flow capacity and leverage.

Carlos Rosso obtained their MBA in Finance from the Yale School of Management between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. in Economics from the Tecnológico de Monterrey between 1991 and 1995.
