Mathew began their career in 2008 as a Senior Developer at International Postal Solutions, Inc. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Sole Proprietor at Postal Apps, Inc, where they created software that improved mail processing efficiency and reduced postage costs.
In 2013, Mathew joined Boulder County as an Election Technology Specialist II (Software Developer). Mathew developed an encrypted ballot system and automation tools that simplified ballot creation and distribution, resulting in significant time savings during the election process.

In these roles, they led the development of the Honey Smart Shopping Assistant app and Android libraries, managed platform initiatives for iOS and Android apps, and implemented automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development process.
Most recently, Mathew worked at Alo Yoga as an Engineering Manager. Mathew successfully managed a remote team and implemented new processes that increased velocity by 35% and enabled the team to deliver high-quality products on time. Mathew also onboarded an offshore team of engineers to complete critical project milestones.
In 2023, Mathew joined mRelief as an Engineering Manager, continuing their career in software development and engineering management.
Mathew Brown graduated from Sierra College in 1998 with an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended American River College from 1997 to 1998, where they pursued Computer Science. From 1998 to 2002, Mathew attended California State University-Sacramento and studied Computer Engineering.
