Dominie Garcia

Dominie Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Dominie started their career as a Program Manager for the Vice Chairman at AOL Time Warner in 2000. Dominie then co-founded the Emerging Venture Network in 2001 before joining the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Graduate Student in 2002. Garcia worked at San Jose State University as an Assistant Professor from 2006 to 2010.

Dominie then moved into the consulting and advisory field, joining Booz Allen Hamilton in 2010. During their time at Booz Allen Hamilton, Garcia held roles such as Lead Associate and Senior Associate, leading teams and driving business growth through successful client projects.

In 2017, Garcia joined Battelle, where they served as the Smart Cities Program Lead, Business Development Manager, and Director. At Battelle, they led various initiatives, including the development and execution of intellectual property strategy for proprietary software in the smart cities space.

Most recently, Garcia has been working at MRIGlobal since 2021. Dominie started as the Managing Director, where they played a crucial role in maturing the organization after a large restructuring. Dominie led the creation and implementation of best practice business development processes and partnered closely with business unit leaders to develop strategy and go-to-market plans. Garcia's current role at MRIGlobal is Vice President of Commercial Business Development. Dominie oversees pipeline growth and maturity while focusing on key areas such as pre-clinical testing, diagnostics platform development, and drug product testing and manufacturing. Dominie also temporarily served as the Interim Director of the Medical Research Portfolio, where they successfully increased program management discipline and improved client relations.

Dominie Garcia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Prior to that, Dominie pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Georgia Institute of Technology in Systems Engineering, focusing on Organizational Design and Theory. Dominie's educational journey began at Vassar College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree by studying Economics and Hispanic Studies.
