Mark R. Pierepiekarz

Mark R. Pierepiekarz is the current President at MRP Engineering. Mark has over 35 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on seismic risk evaluations and retrofitting of existing structures. Mark has worked with ABS Consulting (EQE International) for 16 years, 10 of which they served as Principal Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for proactive upgrades of existing buildings, highway bridges, and water tanks, as well as dynamic structural analyses, seismic risk evaluations, and equipment anchorage design. Mark also conducted post-earthquake damage investigations for the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake and the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Prior to their work with ABS Consulting, Pierepiekarz worked as an engineer/scientist with Merritt CASES for 1 year.

Mark R. Pierepiekarz has a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
