Georgia Platts

Georgia Platts is an experienced lecturer in sociology and women's studies at Foothill College since April 2000, with previous lecturing experience at San Jose State University from January 2002 to May 2003. Platts has contributed as a blogger for BroadBlogs since July 2010 and writes articles for Ms. Magazine Blog since 2009. Additionally, Platts serves as a partner with RESULTS, focusing on lobbying Congress and addressing poverty issues, and is a member of Dream Menders, working to increase community visibility for pressing issues. In 2012, Platts presented at Sunstone. Platts holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from UCLA.
