Fiona C. has extensive experience in policy and management roles within New Zealand's public sector. Currently serving as General Manager for both Welfare System and Income Support Policy, and previously as General Manager for Employment and Income Support Policy at the Ministry of Social Development since October 2017, Fiona has demonstrated a strong background in social welfare policies. Prior to this, Fiona held key positions at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, including Policy Director and acting General Manager for Labour and Immigration Policy. Early career experience includes roles at MSD as Manager for Housing Policy and various positions at The Treasury, including Manager of Labour Market and Welfare. Fiona's educational credentials encompass an Executive Program in Women’s Leadership from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a Ruku Ao leadership programme from New Zealand Drama School, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in History and Maori Studies, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Otago.
