Laurence Ghafar has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. They started their career at Johnson & Johnson in 2002, working as a Regulatory Associate before transitioning into the role of an Oracle Clinical Specialist. Laurence then joined Roche in 2006, where they held various positions including Senior Clinical Programmer, Line Manager of Clinical Data Management, and Innovation Strategist & Site Innovation Lead. In 2020, Laurence moved on to MSD Switzerland as an Associate Director of Clinical Data Management - Global Data Operations. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Operations Lead, Clinical Data Management at MSD Switzerland.
Laurence Ghafar pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their A-Levels at Richard Huish College from 1997 to 1999. During this period, they focused on subjects like Maths, Psychology, and Biology. Following this, Laurence went on to attend the University of Bradford from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Medical Engineering.
In addition to their formal education, Laurence Ghafar also obtained certification in the Business Leadership Program from Duke Corporate Education in June 2023.
