Margarita Ortiz

Margarita Ortiz is a seasoned professional who holds increasingly responsible roles in their office today. She is the Rye Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Portfolio Managers and Global Head of the MSD Credit Opportunity Funds. Margarita brings over 25 years of experience with expertise in scheduling and project management. She also co-runs MSD's Hispanic/Latino Network and supports the Administrative Team as an Administrative Team Liaison, where she oversees firmwide Administrative Team meetings and offers continued advice, guidance and mentorship on duties and best practices. She is also a Notary Public.

Margarita joined MSD in 2000 from Soros Fund Management LLC and Chadbourne & Parke LLP. She graduated Valedictorian from Murray Hill Academy. She is a native New Yorker and resides in Rockland County with her two children, who will tell you her continuous word of advice to them is always to have "Paciencia y Fe," which translates to "Patience and Faith."
