Evelyn Lai

Evelyn Lai is a seasoned healthcare professional serving as the Sr Medical Affairs Director at MSD South Africa since October 2023. Previously, Evelyn held the position of Affiliate Head of Medical Affairs at Astellas Pharma from February 2022 to October 2023. Prior experiences include roles as the Head of Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance for Viatris, and Director of Medical Affairs at Mylan. Earlier in the career, Evelyn was the Market Access Lead and Medical Advisor at Sanofi, as well as a Medical Advisor at MSD/Merck Pharmaceuticals. Starting in clinical research, Evelyn worked as a Clinical Research Trial Doctor at Wits Clinical Research. Educationally, Evelyn earned an MBBCh, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand.
