Ben Burns

Ben Burns has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Ben is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Modern Times Group MTG AB. Prior to this, they worked at ESL Gaming, first as the Vice President of Technology and later as the Chief Information Officer. In these roles, Ben was responsible for leading technical teams and driving innovation in areas such as game security and platform infrastructure. Before ESL Gaming, Ben worked as a Staff Security Consultant at GE Digital and as a Security Team Lead at Pason Systems. Ben also worked as a Consultant at E-Sports Entertainment and as a Software Developer at St. Francis Xavier University Students' Union and Gemini Telemanagement Systems.

Ben Burns earned a Bachelor of Information Systems (BIS) degree in Enterprise Systems from St. Francis Xavier University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Ben holds several certifications from GIAC Certifications. Ben obtained the GSEC certification in October 2013, followed by the GPEN certification in June 2014, and finally the GICSP certification in July 2014.
