Rory Japp has a diverse work experience starting in 2007 with an internship at Christie's, where they focused on researching provenance history and assisting with cataloging. Rory then moved on to a marketing internship at Carlin Music in 2010. In 2012, Rory joined Rubicon Project, starting as an intern and later progressing to roles in ad operations, account management, and marketing specialist. Their responsibilities included managing client accounts, organizing events, and onboarding new business opportunities. In 2016, Rory joined MUBI as a marketing manager and eventually took on roles as the digital marketing and growth lead and director of digital, focusing on global paid acquisition and strategic partnerships. Their most recent position at MUBI was as the vice president of digital marketing, overseeing overall digital marketing initiatives.
Rory Japp attended Harrow School from 2003 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Diploma in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of the Arts London in 2008 and 2009. Rory then completed a Bachelor's degree in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation at the University of Oxford from 2009 to 2012, and later a Master's degree in the same field from 2009 to 2013.
