Sohag Desai (He/him)

Sohag Desai has diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sohag currently works as the Director of Engineering Projects (North America) at MulticoreWare Inc. Before that, he was a Cloud Engineering Consultant at Mobilematics, Inc., SecureDynamics. Sohag is a Cohort Chair, Coach, and Mentor at IIT Startups. In addition, he served as a Consultant in Cloud Engineering at Deep Sentinel and as the Director Of Service Operations at StreamSets Inc. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Cloud, Data, and ML Consultant at Trishul Ventures and as the Director Of Engineering at Viome. Sohag was a founding team member and served as the Director, Technical Operations at Fanvana, Inc. Sohag also held the position of Head of Interoperability at Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company / Avenda. Sohag started his career at Cisco Systems, Inc. as a Senior Engineering Manager / Architect. Throughout his career, Sohag has demonstrated leadership skills, successfully delivered projects, and fostered relationships with OEM partners and clients.

Sohag Desai has a Master of Information and Data Science from the UC Berkeley School of Information, where he specialized in Information Technology and Data Science, and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Penn State University. He also has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Sohag Desai recently completed a postgraduate degree in Cloud Computing at The University of Texas at Austin in 2021.
