Alwyn Van Heerden

Al oversees the execution of all merger and acquisition (M&A) and partnership activities while also supporting strategic initiatives aligned with best-in-class finance processes for the Company. Al has more than 14 years of experience in M&A, partnerships and structuring financings. Prior to joining MultiPlan, Al served as Senior Director, Corporate Development at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem, Inc.) where he led strategic acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and other strategic relationships. In addition, Al has a background in investment banking with financial firms Rothschild, Credit Suisse and Barclays Capital and started his career in consulting. Al holds an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and is a CFA charterholder.
