Ricard Alvarez Iglesias has a wealth of experience in the aviation industry. Ricard began their career in 2014 at Volotea as a MCC Coordinator & Planning Engineer, where they were responsible for the first Maintenance Control Center team in the company. During their time there, they completed a Boeing 717-200 (RRD BR715) Type Rating Course B1+B2 (Part 66 Level 3), Training Procedures for Volotea CAMO, EASA Part M & Part 145 Course, Fuel Tank Safety Phase II, Human Factors Course in Aviation Maintenance, EWIS Target Groups 5 (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System), Aviation Security Course and a Boeing 717 Structural Repair Manual (SRM) course from Aviation Island, S. In 2015, Ricard moved to Vueling Airlines, where they held the positions of Maintenance Operations Manager, MOC (Maintenance Operations Center) Supervisor, Midterm Planning Engineer and Planning & Routing 24h OCC - Engineer. Most recently, in 2022, they joined MundiMoto Group as Head of Operations Planning, with the goal of helping to scale the operations of the number 1 motorbike recommerce in Europe.
Ricard Alvarez Iglesias holds a Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they obtained in 2014. Ricard also holds a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering from the same university, which they specialized in air navigation and obtained in 2012. In 2013, they obtained a CELI 3 - Certificato di Conoscenza della Lingua Italiana (B2) from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. Additionally, they obtained a First Certificate in English (B2) from the University of Cambridge in 2008.
