Chris Nicol is an Electrical Engineer at SMART Technologies since July 2010, contributing to the development of hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices as part of a cross-functional team. Previously, Chris served as a Firmware Engineer at the same company, creating firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Earlier experience includes working as an Electronics Contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary in various engineering courses. Chris also worked as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
