Jeff P. has a diverse work experience in the fire and emergency services industry. Jeff started their career in 1996 as a Commanding Officer in the Canadian Forces. Jeff then transitioned to become a Firefighter in the LaSalle Fire Service in 2007. During that time, they also worked as an Instructor at St. Clair College, teaching Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training. In 2018, Jeff joined the Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services as a Training Officer, and later moved to the City of Woodstock Fire Department in the same role. Jeff currently holds the position of Deputy Fire Chief at the Municipality of Lakeshore, which they took on in 2022 after serving as Assistant Deputy Fire Chief in the same municipality. In addition to their work in the fire service, Jeff also served as an Instructor in the Canadian Forces - Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) since 2006, specifically in the RCIS(C) program. Overall, Jeff P. has an extensive background in fire and emergency services, leadership, and education.
Jeff P. attended Dalhousie University from 2012 to 2014, where they studied Fire Services Administration. Jeff then pursued a Professional Certificate of Adult Education at Western University, completing it in 2015, focusing on Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching. Additionally, they attended Dalhousie University from 2010 to 2012, studying Fire Service Leadership. Jeff also studied at the Ontario Fire College, where they completed a program in Company Officer I. Jeff further enriched their education by pursuing a Certificate Program in Educational Leadership and Administration - Management at the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada. Jeff P. also pursued courses at St. Clair College, focusing on Pre-Service Firefighter (Upgrade), Pre-Entry Firefighter, and General Machinist / Tool and Die Maker.
