Jim Michalak

Jim Michalak is an experienced educator and technology professional with a diverse background in teaching and project management. Currently, Jim serves as a teacher at the School Town of Munster and Merrillville Community Schools since August 2019 and August 2017, respectively, after previous experience as a substitute teacher at the School City of Hammond from October 2015 to June 2017. Prior to transitioning into education, Jim held various roles at Allstate from May 1992 to November 2013, including Project Manager, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planner, Manager, and Systems Engineer, where key responsibilities encompassed managing trading systems integration, disaster recovery planning, server management, and providing technical support. Jim holds a Bachelor's of Science and an Associate of Arts in Computer Science and Technical Productions from Indiana University Northwest, complemented by education at Calumet College of St. Joseph.
