Karey Shanks

Karey Shanks has extensive experience in education, serving as a teacher in the School Town of Munster since 1985. Currently a 2nd Grade Teacher, Karey Shanks plans and delivers standards-based instruction, differentiates curriculum, and is actively involved in school improvement and evaluation committees. Previously, as a 5th Grade Teacher, Karey Shanks specialized in teaching high-ability students and organized various educational trips and competitions. Additionally, Karey Shanks has served as a mentor for student teachers and new educators in both general and special education. Prior to a career in teaching, Karey Shanks worked as an Administrative Receptionist at Santefort - Cowing Real Estate, managing contracts and customer communications. Karey Shanks holds a Master of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's of Science in Education from Purdue University Northwest.
