Matt Heying

Matt Heying currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Product at Mural, a position held since January 2022, following a role as Vice President of Product for Canvas. Prior to Mural, Matt was the Vice President of Product at Vertex Software, a modern cloud platform specializing in digital twins, from June 2018 to December 2021. Matt’s extensive experience at Workiva spanned nearly a decade, during which Matt held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Product for the Enterprise Platform and Vice President of User Experience. Matt began a career in consulting with Heying R&D and contributed to research initiatives at Iowa State University, earning a Ph.D. (ABD) in Human-Computer Interaction, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
