Phuti Manguba

Phuti Manguba has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. They currently work as an Agility Lab Facilitator at The Nature Conservancy, where they started in 2022. In the same year, they also took on the role of a Human-Centered Design Instructor at MURAL. In 2021, Phuti worked as a Human-Centered Design Instructor at LUMA Institute.

Prior to these roles, Phuti held various positions at Barweshi Consulting, starting in 2017. They served as the Design and Innovation Officer, Chief Innovation Officer, Managing Director, and Service Designer in Design Thinking and Agile. They also briefly held the position of Chief Designer and CEO at Barweshi Consulting. Before joining Barweshi Consulting, Phuti worked as an IT Strategist for Inch Solution from 2016 to 2022.

In the earlier years of their career, Phuti worked as a SAP HCM Specialist at Transnet SOC Ltd from 2014 to 2016. They also held the position of SAP HCM Manager at SARS - South African Revenue Services from 2010 to 2014, where they were responsible for managing a systems support team and developing functional specifications for system change requests.

Phuti's career started as a SAP HCM Consultant at Epi-Use South Africa in 2006, where they were involved in business architecture, analysis, solution design, testing, and training. Before that, they worked as a Trainee Consultant at Pebbletree Consulting from 2004 to 2005.

Phuti Manguba completed a Social Entrepreneurship Program at GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) in 2013. In 2016, Manguba obtained a Design Thinking Certificate from Design Thinkers Academy, focusing on creativity. Manguba earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town between 1999 and 2003. Recently, in 2020-2021, Manguba engaged in Executive Leadership studies at THNK School of Leadership. Additionally, Manguba obtained a certification in "Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience" from LinkedIn in May 2020 and previously obtained a Design Thinking Certificate from Design Thinking Academy in November 2016. Manguba also holds an SAP HCM Certification from SAP Certificate.
