Peter Eastwood

Peter Eastwood is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in sleep and respiratory physiology. Currently serving in academic positions at Murdoch University since July 2023 and as a representative for Australasia and Asia at the World Sleep Society since September 2019, Peter has also contributed significantly to various editorial roles, including on the editorial board of Respirology Journal and Respirology Case Reports since 2013. Previously, Peter held prominent positions at Flinders University, including Dean of Research and Director of the Flinders Health & Medical Research Institute, from November 2020 to June 2023. Peter's career includes leadership roles such as Director of The Raine Study and Foundation Director of the Centre for Sleep Science at The University of Western Australia. With a solid educational background, including a Ph.D. in Respiratory & Sleep Physiology from The University of Western Australia and a B.Sc. in Health Science from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, Peter has made significant contributions to the field of respiratory health and sleep science.
