Nick Burton

Nick Burton is an experienced Patent Attorney with a strong background in patent creation and intellectual property management. Currently serving as the Attorney Development Director at Murgitroyd since October 2021, Nick previously held the position of Partner at UDL Intellectual Property from June 2013 to October 2021, where significant contributions were made to obtaining, protecting, and exploiting intellectual property. Prior experience includes serving as IP Counsel at NXP, focusing on semiconductor patents and portfolio management, and as a Patent Attorney at D Young & Co LLP, working on various technologies. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Physics from the University of Birmingham, a BSc in Physics from the University of Bath, and certifications as a European Patent Attorney and Chartered Patent Attorney.
