James Houlis is an experienced chemistry educator and consultant with a diverse background in academia and various industries. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Allan Hancock College, James teaches introductory chemistry courses while also working as a Field Representative for Mueller Services, conducting loss control surveys and home inspections. In addition, James has been an IT Field Representative for MurTech Consulting, managing computer installations and network connections across California. A consultant at Secure Tech, James specializes in contract analytical support, chemical synthesis, and laboratory compliance. Previous roles include Network Specialist at H&R Block and instructor positions at Fresno State and Cuesta College. James holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Rochester, a PhD from the University of Wyoming, and a BS in Chemistry from Fresno State.
