Edel Ryan

Edel Ryan is currently serving as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Basketball Ireland since November 2023, while also working as a Personal Assistant at Muscular Dystrophy Ireland since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Carlow Camogie and Killeshin GAA, positions held from November 2022 to January 2024 and February to August 2022, respectively. Edel has a background in the hospitality sector, having worked as a Bar Waitress at Grogan’s of Glasson from January 2019 to August 2022 and as Head Waitress at Glasson Hotel & Golf Club from June 2017 to December 2018. An internship in sports science was completed at SEMLI in early 2021. Edel is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Sports and Exercise at South East Technological University, having previously obtained an Associate of Science degree in Sports and Exercise from the Institute of Technology, Carlow. Educational background includes completion of the Leaving Certificate at Our Lady’s Bower, Athlone.
