Thiago Fernandes

Thiago Fernandes is an accomplished art professional with diverse experience spanning academia, research, and curatorial practices. Currently serving as a visiting researcher at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and an assistant curator at Museu de Arte do Rio, Thiago has also been a professor at Núcleo Academy since May 2019 and provides art criticism for Revista Caju. Past roles include a university professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where Thiago taught art history and theory, and a resident researcher at Museu de Arte do Rio. Thiago holds a doctorate and a master's degree in Visual Arts specializing in History and Critique of Art, as well as a degree in Art History and Graphic Design background, demonstrating a strong foundation in both academic and practical aspects of the field.
